1. Introduction

Provena is a premium responsive Shopify Online Store 2.0 theme designed for food, pantry, gourmet and related storefronts. Common storefront content can be managed through Shopify's theme editor using reusable sections, blocks and merchant-editable settings.

2. Getting started

Upload / install the theme

In Shopify admin, open Online Store → Themes and use Shopify's theme installation flow to add Provena to your theme library.

Preview or publish

Preview Provena before publishing to review your storefront content, products, collections, navigation and settings. Publish only after your store setup has been reviewed.

3. Theme settings

Favicon: configure the available favicon setting for your store.
Typography: use the available typography controls for consistent storefront text.
Layout / page width: use the available layout controls according to your storefront content.
Colors: configure supported colors to match your brand while maintaining readable contrast.

5. Homepage sections

Each section can be managed through Shopify's theme editor using its available section settings and blocks.

6. Product pages

Responsive product image gallery
Product variant selection
Quantity controls
Add to cart using the selected variant and quantity
Checkout through Shopify's checkout flow

7. Collection pages

Provena supports collection filtering and sorting. Available filters depend on the merchant's Shopify catalog and applicable filtering configuration.

9. Cart

Cart quantities update automatically when shoppers change item quantities.
Items can be removed using the built-in cart controls.
Checkout continues through Shopify's checkout experience.

10. Blog & articles

Provena includes blog and article templates. Create and manage blog content in Shopify admin and present it using the available theme templates and settings.

11. Customer accounts

Provena integrates with Shopify customer accounts using Shopify's account component. Account behavior depends on the merchant's Shopify customer account configuration.

12. Responsive images

Provena uses responsive image delivery for storefront imagery across different screen sizes.

Use clear, high-quality source images.
Use consistent product image proportions where practical.
Preview important sections on desktop and mobile.
Avoid unnecessarily oversized source files.
Keep important text outside product imagery where possible.

13. Accessibility & SEO

Provena includes accessibility and SEO improvements. Merchants should also maintain strong content practices.

Use meaningful product, collection, page and article titles.
Provide useful alternative text for merchant-uploaded images where applicable.
Maintain readable color contrast when editing theme colors.
Use descriptive navigation labels and headings.
Keep Shopify catalog and page content accurate and structured.

14. Troubleshooting

A section is not showing

Confirm the section exists on the active template and that required Shopify resources such as a product or collection have been selected.

Product options are missing

Confirm the required variants and product data are configured correctly in Shopify admin.

Collection filters are unavailable

Check the store's Shopify filtering configuration and confirm that applicable filter data exists.

Behavior changed after installing an app

Review the relevant third-party app integration and provide the app name and reproduction steps when contacting support. Third-party app customization is separate custom work.
